लाचलुचपत का असते ?
बहुतेक उदाहरणात राज्यकर्ते जमीनी, घरे, कंपन्या, ह्यात सत्तेचा फायदा घेऊन पैसे करतात असे दिसते. अशोक चव्हाणांना चार नातेवाईकांच्या नावावर घरे असावीत असे का वाटावे ? किंवा कर्नाटकाच्या मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी आपल्या मुलांनाच जमीनी का देवव्यात ?
इतरांचे राहू द्या. आपण आपल्यावरूनच बघू. आपण आपले घर शेवटी कोणाच्या नावे करू ? तर मुलांच्याच ना ? काही जण देऊन टाकतात धर्मादाय ते विरळाच असते. साधारणपणे प्रवृत्ती असते, मालमत्ता जी काही शिल्लक राहते ती मुलांना द्यायची. असे आपल्याला का वाटते ? कित्येक कुटुंबात वारस नसतो तेव्हा ते दत्तक घेतात पण मालमत्ता दत्तक मुलांनाच देतात. जसे : टाटा उद्योगसमूहात किंवा बजाज समूहात झालेले आहे. आपल्याच कुटुंबियांचा असा भरवसा आपल्याला का वाटतो ? मुले भांडतात, बंड करून वेगळे होतात तरीही ?
आपल्याच मुलांबद्दल एक प्रकारची माया असते. ते आपलाच अंश आहेत अशी एक धारणा असते. तसे बाहेरच्यांविषयी वाटत नाही. हे खरेच नीट पटवून घ्यायचे असेल तर क्षणभर एक उदाहरण घेऊ: समजा पुनर्जन्म ही गोष्ट खरी आहे असे धरून चला व त्या प्रमाणे तुम्हाला जर विचारले की पुढचा जन्म कोणाच्या उदरी घ्यायचाय ते सांगा ! तर आपण बहुतेक सर्व चांगली प्रलोभने ( जसे: अमिताभ बच्चन, ऐश्वर्या राय, माधुरी दिक्षित, किंवा नोबेल पुरस्कार वाले ) सोडून विचार करायला लागतो ते मुलाच्या किंवा मुलीच्या घरांचा किंवा जवळच्या नातेवाईकांचा. त्यांच्याबद्दलची मायाच आपल्याला दिलासा देत असणार की ह्यांच्याकडेच पुन:र्जन्म घ्यावा असा.
माया अशी आपल्याला आपल्याच घराण्याचा विचार करायला भाग पाडते !
मग असेच लाचलुचपत घेऊन मिळवलेल्या संपत्तीबद्दल वाटायला लागते व माणसे जमीनी, घरे, पैसा अडका, कंपन्या, सत्तापदे ही आपल्याच मुलांना वाटतात. उरते ते मग आपलाच डिएनए जे बाळगताहेत त्यांच्यासाठी सोडीत आपण जातो !

Why Corruption ?
Most of the politicians are found to have multiple houses, lands, moneys, companies in the name and for the sake of their children or the near and dear ones. When Chief Minister of Maharashtra was found to be corrupt, it was by means of four flats for his nearest relatives. Similarly the Karnataka Chief Minister gave his sons lands and houses.
Forget politicians . Let us take our own example. For whom would we leave our property, money and house to ? Most of the commoners would leave it to their children. There are very few exceptions who donate their property to charity or to worthy causes. Most of us, leave it to our own children. Some very well known families had no heir of theirs but they still left it to their adopted children. Despite our children turning out to be rebels, quarrelling with us and going their way, still we leave all the collectons to them. Why do we do this ?
Somehow the predominant feeling we have about our children, especially when the bequething time comes, is that they are a part of us, belong to us. We cannot enlarge our hearts to feel the same way about the outsiders, aquaintances , or the society at large.Let us check whether we do this by taking a simple example. Suppose for a moment that the doctrine of re-birth may be true. And suppose accordingly we are asked where would we take our next birth ? Dropping all lucrative alternatives ( like say, in the families of Amithabh Bacchan, or Aishwarya Rai, or Madhuri Dixit , or some Nobel laureates ) we are likely to think of our own children or the nearest suitable relatives. This Mayaa forces us to think about our own DNA carriers as our most near & dear ones and accordingly we leave all our wealth to them. This Mayaa forces us to be corrupt !
