घसरती पॅंट ! सॅगिंग !

फॅशनच्या युगात काय काय बघायला मिळेल त्याचा काही नेम नाही. इथे सध्या एक विचित्रच फॅशन पहायला मिळते आहे. नेहमीचीच जीन, पण पोरे ती इतकी खाली नेसतात की ती सारखी घसरत असते व एका हाताने धरून ठेवायला लागते. बहुतेक करून आफ्रिकन-अमेरिकन पुरुष ही फॅशन करताना आजकाल मॉल्स मध्ये दिसतात. इथली हायस्कूल ( ११वी,१२वी ) ची मुले असल्या पॅंटी घालून कशी काय शाळेत वावरतात हे समजायला अवघडच आहे. आता आपल्याकडेही ही फॅशन येईलच.

गुजरातीत एक वाक्प्रचार आहे, "धोती फाडके बनाया रुमाल", म्हणजे मराठीत कांसेचे नेसते डोक्याला गुंडाळल्यासारखाच हा प्रकार आहे. तुकाराम महाराज चांगल्या लोकांची भलामण करू, पण नाठाळांना बदडून काढू असे म्हणताना म्हणतात : "भले तरी देऊ । कासेची लंगोटी । नाठाळाचे माथा । हाणू काठी । " त्यावरून त्याकाळी लंगोटी नेसत असत ही बातमी आपल्याला लागते. लंगोटी हा प्रकार आतल्या चड्डीचा, अगदी चिंचोळी चिंधी असा. पण तो फक्त आखाड्यात किंवा क्वचित प्रसंगी न्हाणीघरात दिसत असे. बाहेरचीच पँट अशी ढिल्ली ढाली घसरती नेसण्याचा हा प्रकार नवीनच म्हटला पाहिजे.

हा प्रकार घालणार्‍यांना काही तरी अघटित करण्याचे समाधान देत असेल, पण त्यात काही आकर्षकपणा मात्र सुतराम दिसत नाही. उलट आतली अंडरवेअर दिसत असल्याने हे दृश्य ओंगळवाणे ज्यास्त दिसते. पण खोडकर मुलांना तेच हवे असते, जसे आजकाल ती एखादी गोष्ट चांगली आहे हे म्हणताना ते म्हणतात की किती "डिसगस्टिंग !"

Sagging Jeans, Sagging Fashion !

In fashion-world you are not shure what could be next ! Nowadays , male kids here, mostly African-American, in malls, are seen to be holding their pants ( jeans ) up with one hand and walking like a rap artist. If these grown-up kids ( 11th, 12th graders ) wear such sagging jeans in High School, it must be a very odd sight for the school atmosphere.

The sagging jean is to be worn so low that the underwear should be visible. In distant past we might have seen people wearing very scant dresses or only a strip like thing ( langot ). But the civilisation has made much progress thereafter and now wearing such jeans, though in the name of fashion, is very confusing.

If the guys wearing these jeans imagine that it could be adding to their sex-appeal as the underwear is revealing it will only show their bankruptacy in aesthetics. It definitely does not add to any appeal but makes the onlookers disgusting.

But these days kids apply a word and mean something else. Like when they like something very much they are likely to say "it is disgusting !" So, whatever their intended meaning, disgusting it is !
